Brake sensor, how easy? Service guy ripping me off?
They tried to charge me $100 for a radiator flush. Maybe I'm crazy but that seems a little too pricey to have your radiator flushed. He insisted they had a special process. When I asked about their process he just made some analogy and got off the subject as if I was some idiot.
The service guy kept trying to rip me off.
He tried to convince me I absolutely needed an "induction cleaning" which I finally got him to tell me it was just cleaning the spark plugs. Guess how much? $100!!! $110 to have them replaced.
I said "no thank you."
But I usually go to the dealer for a straight answer for what I need (and the recommended maintenance) but they're MUCH worse than small shops on the corner.
I did fall for the sensor and I didn't know enough to argue with it. The brake sensor was bad, intermittently turned brake light on the dash, and he charged me $250 for that and to have my brake fluid replaced. I'm pretty sure I got ripped off on that
