Does anyone have HIDs in the Fog light area? 9006 upgrade.

I am thinking of getting HIDs but want to know if it’s even possible to get them down in the fog lamp area also. Would it be 2 bright? Has anyone tried it yet? Sorry if this has been discussed. Search function did not help me.

Sure, but no one would really do t hat. Yellow light is better for fog.
By putting HID in the fog light, you are not lighting up the road that much compared to putting a pair in the headlights.

Yea thats a pointless idea. You dont want a bright fog light, or it wont cut threw the fog, it would just make the fog worse, actually.

I made my Fogs HID's... and it kicks ass... I love it.. makes it a lot brighter... havn't had any fog yet tho... I think it looks good

Yeah I thought it would be to bright for Fog and will not realy do a good job of cutting through. I only been through thick fog a couple times in years. Yellow light gives more visibility in Fog. Just curious of how many people actualy went and done it. If it looks real sharp I might go for it.

can anyone tell me how to change mine out. i tried and it had this mud shield thing in my way. i can barely get my hand in there. is there another way to change them. i tried to take the fog light off too to see if it would be easier but like i siad it was hard to see the screws and i only got one off. is this normal.i only say that because a friend of minehas a solara and it does not have this plastic bumper guard thind in the back between the trd kit ground effects that sits on the back bumper

Just reach under the front of the car there is a picture of how to do it in the owners manual.
