what exactly does the s-afc do and how will it improve my solara because this seems to be the next step for me since i have trd upgraded springs, kit, rims and greddy exhaust and short ram intake. what else is made for the solara other than the big brake upgrade kit.

There is something call SEARCH who makes all the parts availabe for the solara

By looking at your post, SAFC is not necessary for your car yet.

S-AFC is a piggyback computer that controls air fuel mixture. Since you have intake and exhaust , the A/F ratio will have slightly off, therefore you can use it to adjust air fuel misture to idel and have it dyno tune to get the optimum performance. I think for such of light modification, you should get 5hp gain on the wheel MAX after dyno tunning. Dyno tunning usually cost about $150-300 for SAFC tunning.

If you only have upgrade spring than i would say you need to replace the shock too, otherwise your car will just bounce like a boat. there is someone is selling short ram cold intake extension kit in this forums, search for it. you also can mod your rear anti-sway bar to TRD, or get short shifter if you have manual transmission. If you have v6, you can get TRD supercharger, if you have i4, than you can get rippspeed supercharger kit or custom make a turbo kit.

ultra, i was wondering how much trouble you had making a turbo kit. i was planning to do the same becasue i did not like the results many had with the sc.i have the trd shocks but not the rear sway bar. i am, having trouble with my o2 sensor and i though the s afc would help in that. but as i looked on the net i did not find much about the solara out. i am lookingfor the compression rate and everything else about it to plan something out. i turbo charged my v6 mustang so i know how much trouble it can be. but i have an auto tranny and cant compensate for that too. i am looking for any help i can get seeing that i do not know much about the solara and cant find anything out. and my solara is a v6

there is one guy here has turbochraged v6, i think he ran into lots of trouble as i do. I think he has blown knock sensor issue and he had not solve it yet. My turbo project is finally coming to the end of middle of january, which i am going to have it dyno tune at signal auto. this project started since 02 summer, it took me long because it took me time to find parts and collect money. supercharge might be a better choice. S-AFC might correct the A/F sensor problem, but not necessary.

what size turbo are you using and who has made a kit for there v6. do you know what set up they used. i dont see why they would have so many problems if it was properly made. did you have some one make you the whole kit or did you order parts and have some one just make the manifold and down pipe or what.
