Just chiming in to say the RSB works miracles on the handling of the Solara, even on street it takes curves and turns like a champ. Hate to say it, but she corners better than the SC300 or SC400.

Just wait till you drive a light and good handling car...

I used to think my Solara's handling (with all the mods) is great until I testdrove a Mini Cooper S yesterday. Afterward I came back into the Solara and it felt like a pig struggling to keep on the cornering line.

I hate to say it but Solara is just too heavy, the limit of the car is low compared to many other cars.

Yeah, my girl always gets scared when I come to a good turn. I always take it to just about screaching point. I know it doesn't handle as well as most others, but you might as well have fun with it.

Yup, the RSB on my Solara really made a difference. But after driving my RX-8 for awhile and drove the Solara again going to SF, it felt soft. But hey, I never changed the Solara's Springs anyway...
I bet those who have full suspension upgrades are loving it! 8)

ps. Even though my 8 handles better, the Solara is far better during rainy days on the corner. That's coz its a FWD :D

Try this. Everyone had great inputs on how to install the TRD RSB and save some time/trouble doing it.

easy install

Postby mycrobyte » Mon Feb 02, 2004 1:13 pm

I was going to install the RSB, however with all the snow and junk, I didn't feel like crawling around underneath the car even in the garage. sooo...

i printed out that thread with the install hints, took it to my mechanic who said cool, i'll do it for $70 bucks.

definatly worth 70 bucks to avoid any potential brusied knuckles. :P
