Vogtland springs w/4 finger gap?

Vogtland springs w/4 finger gap?

Postby SolaraT » Sun Mar 07, 2004 7:45 pm

Anyone that has Vogtland springs notice that the rear has a 4 finger gap while the front only has 2? The drop is 1.5" for both front and back. Is this normal for a new install of springs or is the front just lower because of the weight of the engine?
I also got Tokico shocks installed.
I'm going to hold off on pics till I get my rims and greddy exaust intalled.

I have the same suspension setup as you and I just checked mine, and I have a two finger gap in the front and the back, maybe a 3 finger in the back (barely). But the drop looks even if you just look at it from the side.

Yeah I know people have the opposite lower in the back then the front but thats known with the ebach springs. I think its cause I still have stock 15s on. I'm going to pick up my 18" rims on thursday so we will see after that.

Well they first quoted me $225.00 but then they had to charge me an extra $70.00 (1hour labor) because they had to take the whole inner panels out to reach the rear struts. They should know that if they are going to quote prices. So with that plus an alignment came out to be $365.00 total.

OMG... thats soo much for install. I paid $95 dollars flat for my coilover install. Then again, some stupid rice shop owner I asked wanted $500.00 not including alignment for it. He claimed that "Its a very hard and rare car to work on" :x
