Yet another battery question... sorry

Yet another battery question... sorry

Postby esculatus » Thu Apr 15, 2004 11:50 pm

Hi guys,

My battery is in the mid range now being it's 4th year. I think it's served me well. So, the qeustion is what should I replace with? I've heard alot about optimax, but I am not sure if I am capable of doing all that wiring for the battery. Anyone has any suggestion on what to purchase?

Thanks

Eric

if you don't care for anything fancy, the normal battery from sears is perfectly fine. i have the gold class from sears.

Would any of these Yellow Tops fit without rewiring?

Theres three there, one with connectors on the side, and one with reversed posts.

Mine also just had its 4th birthday, so maybe I need to do a swap out soon.

get a interstate mega-tron plus battery thats what i got after my stock one died. i dont know which model it is but the battery is so big that the sleeve won't fit around it so its just bolted down like that. no problems so far and i still push my system hard everyday.

Exide Optimal X-Treme Duty. I cant tell you enough how much harder my stereo hits, my headlights are brighter, and even my power windows move faster. I heard some stories about how some optima yellow tops have problems so I bought this one and I love it. I highly suggest you look into them.

I got an Energizer battery, it has like 650 Cold Cranking Amp and it's cheaper than a Toyota OEM crap...

I got it at Walmart up here in Canada. If you don't want to spend so much money on a battery, Energizer is a GREAT choice.

Thats strange... I have a 97 Camry and the stock battery stayed with me for 6 years. Only time it crapped out was when the negative terminal literally broke/snapped in half when the audio guy wiggled the wire to install my system.
