well...

Postby bluesolara » Wed Apr 28, 2004 12:33 am

Well...

sup guys! how is it going?

let me clear things up here aight?

What alan8888 is trying to say is, toyota projectors (i.e. the gen 2 solaras
), those are not meant to house HID systems, they are HALOGEN PROJECTORS, they make the best light output from the Halogen filament bulb. Another car we all know is the integra. Those projectors aren't meant for HID either. when he said
get the S2000 and retrofit it in your headlight
it means that you have to go purchase the OEM s2000 HID projectors, and RETROFIT it into your headlights...go to HIDFORUM.COM, you'll see

well...to clear up another thing is

Alan8888, Steve's solara is a generation 1, it has a reflector housing, so there is no OEM projector in the first place.

Well, steve, it's up to you, got another 500 bucks to spend, go for the retrofit without a doubt, but for maximizing your light output/coolness with only around 300-400 bucks, the kit is the way to go...

it's all about how much you're gonna spend.

Real OEM projectors (valeo, bosch...etc.), they create that STRAIGHT, CLEAR CUTOFF on walls, and it bounces up and down, which is simply awesome :o really want it if I could actually afford it, but having the KIT will give you the look of G35'S and TL's, though they have HID reflectors (
different from our halogen reflectors), our light out-put is actually pretty impressive too...and the cutoff line is not to bad

alrite, so hope you guys all enjoy HID more and more!

God bless

Kevin=) :D
