SC V6 wrote:im curious how many holes had to be drilled.. and what were you drilling into? Also does the angle of the front valances look funny since its not for a 99... also if u got it to curve like a gen 1, how did u do it and was it easy

I drilled 3 holes in each front valence. Most of the work was done by double stick tape. I think i was pretty easy to do. The screws that i added were to hold the kit on, and the double stick tape was to hold the front valence to the bumper.

I just installed a gen 1.5 TRD kit on my gen 1 except for the front pieces. I am now going to follow this tutorial. Pics soon

BTW: If it was not for this tutorial I would not have gone for the gen 1.5 kit. It gave me the extra push to place a bid on ebay. It was a steal of a price! $511 brand new TRD kit. Now I got money left over for some xmass presents.

Thanks!!
Louis

Installed the fronts. Looks great! Only two screws/bolts in new places!

Pics this weekend when I wash the car.

once you get the kit and actually put it on, it will become obvious where that extra screw is gonna be. :D

Yeah I don't know. Just put two on each valance. It isn't rocket science.

hey after seeing the trd for the 02 to 03 conversion for the gen 1, i wonder if the silver color of the kit matches with the 99 silver? if it doen't do yall think it looks kinda werid of the two different shade of silver on the car? the point is do you think it kinda noticeable for silver?

It's all about the color code. As long as it is the same then it is the same.
