Also, I still dont understand the diff between HID projectors and halogen projectors. Does the halogen projector also have a focal point behind the lens? Either should have the shield right...so whats the difference?

halogen doesn't really need to be focused. HIDs need to be focused (get a HID lens and a flashlight... alter the focal point and you will see the beam focus then diffuse... just like focusing a manual focus camera.
