i have spoken with one of my budys working at toyota... he gave me this tutorial on how to change the fuel filter... basically, the steps above are good, except that its missing the part where you have to start the fuel pump before you turn on the engine... i guess thats to remove the air bubles...

This one has pics too

"THE FUEL FILTER GOES FOR 52.20$ PLUS TAX. ITS NOT THE MOST COMPLECATED PART TO CHANGE ITS JUST RECOMMENDED TO DO WITH 2 PEOPLE. YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE FUEL LINE FROM THE TOP, WITHOUT TWISTING THE FILTER BECAUSE THEIR IS A LINE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FILTER THAT CAN BREAK. HAVE A 2LITER BOTTLE READY TO CATCH THE EXCESS GAS IN THE LINES, I HAVE A LITTLE RIGHT UP FOR A CELICA ILL SEND YOU THE LINK. ITS BASICALLY THE SAME IDEA

BASICALLY THE SAME STEPS"
