I am about to (finally) mount my Continental ContiSportContacts on my Lexani's. After taking my Solara in for its first oil change, one of the parts guys got me thinking. The computer in the Solara is programmed with 17" rims and the stock tire size. When I am changing my rims in the spring time, should I bother recalibrating my computer to 18" for 39.99 or should I leave it and not have to program it back to 17" when the snow falls again. What do you guys think? Is it necessary to recalibrate my cpu to 18" for 5 months of the year and then back to 17" for the remaining 7 months for 39.99 each time? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there any word whatsoever on a TRD grill? I am dying to own a black TRD grill like the one made for the Matrix.

Well, won't your speedometer and mileage driven be drastically affected if you don't recalibrate.

Going 1" larger, no, I don't think there would be much difference at all.

as long as the wheel/tire package has the same diameter as the factory set-up there should be no problem at all. i wouldnt worry at all. i plan on doing 19s in spring time. OH by the way...theres a guy in the southern part of CT with 20s on a gen2 (so it can be done if anyone was to ever wonder)
