On the panel underneath the steering wheel, AND to the left side of the steering wheel, there's a button. It's tough to describe the location, and the button is camouflaged. Hold down that button and the light will turn off.

It's a pain but for the first few oil changes I will go to a Toyota Dealer. It seems like a good idea to check out the service.

User Manual pg. 120

In short steps:
1. make sure the car is off
2. push the odometer reset button while turning the car ignition
3. keep pushing, until MAINT light blinks
4. after it stops blinking, release the button.

Simple as that.
