Help!

Postby cptnkoolaid » Fri Mar 19, 2004 2:21 pm

So anyway I let my sister drive my 04 solara, and when she was driving she slipped it into tiptronic. So she was in first and she went up until it hit redline and then the engine shut off. Did anything get harmed in the engine, like did she blow anything? Please help!!!

Nice to know the safety feature works. When you slip it into tiptronic, it automatically goes to 4th gear I thought. So she must have downshifted to first before hitting the redline.

I don't knwo solara tiptronic tranny, but like most they take into account user-abuse into consideration when prepping. More than anything, the engine shut off to let u know something was abnormal!

Ya she purposely slipped it down, she just didn't know she had to switch up so soon.
