Well I have had my blue Solara for a while now and I am a little bored with the sides of the car. I was wondering what you guys thing of vinyl decals or some stripes. Just curious about what you guys think about this if it is a good idea or not.

I personally am not a fan of body vinlys unless they are put onto an extremely customized (I mean extremely customized!) car...otherwise I think it looks lame :wink:

I think the Gen2 has enough swoop and character in the side sheet metal to not need any striping at all. Striping is best used with plain flat side sheet metal IMO.

ive read it reduces resale value or makes it hard to sell some people may not like it and may pass on the car.

On my 1st car when they brought in my car from another dealer there were these vinal stickers on the car a line about the width of your thumb that seemed to be like that reflective stuff runners have on their clothes EWWWWWWWW :puppydogeyes: and an upside down shark fin on the sides but i had them remove it b4 it sealed too tight and the sticker removal would have caused damage.

thanks for the help. I guess im not gonna go with the decals or stripes because im gonna wanna resell the car at some point.
