Hmmmm who are these manufacturers? Ford? Chevy? my theory on that is they want you to mess up your car asap so you can go back to the dealership for a new ride in 4-5 years. Thats my guess. :D 1st oil change should be done just before 3000 miles.

Got my '04 Solara feb. 17 and i've got 5,700 miles so far. I plan on doing oil changes every 3,000-4,000 miles. Still don't trust going 5,000 between each change.

I drive my solara 45250 mile. I drive to new york from california and back to my home in one week. I also do many other trip, solara is very good.

Weird ... has anyone else got a boost in gas milage after around 2500 miles???

all of a sudden my milage per tank went from around 300 to 335???
