I need help

Postby Jai_Jai_Binks » Wed Jul 21, 2004 8:04 am

I sprayed some lubricant (like wd40) before i set up my strut bar. But in all reality, the muscle is all thats needed...talk to a built friend or take it to a mechanical shop for $5

I found that a spray called PB Blaster works better than WD-40. I think you can get it at Farm and Fleet or other places like that. Just put some ass into that wrench and it'll break loose.

Insert the wrench handle in a 1 or 2 foot long pipe. It will generate more torque and it will make it easier to unscrew the bolt.

yup! leverage is the key.

i use a cross bar tire iron for needed leverage when i take strut bolts off.

Use an impact wrench and do some real damage.

No don't it is joke.

I cross threaded a nut and bolt once using an impact wrench and it cost a lot of time and money to fix.

Just be careful not to break the wrench. I did that because I put too much muscle in it. These were good Husky tools also.
