I'd guess a one second difference between manual and automatic.

yep, that 7.1 second time is way too fast for an Gen2 I4. It's more like 8 seconds plus.

that cant be right.
gen 1-1.5 SEV6 5-speed is 200hp, 212 tq, 0-60 in 7 flat
gen 1-1.5 SEV6 automatic, 0-60 in 8 seconds
gen 1-1.5 i4 auto and manual, probably around 10 seconds
gen 2 v6 auto, 0-60 7 flat

so the gen 2 i4 manual doing 0-60 in 7.1 is not happening

I thought maybe (by rumor) the 0-60 on the V-6 Solara was 6.6 seconds or so. I saw the stats on a quick road test conducted by Motor Trend on an 04 Solara convt. V-6 clocked at 7.1 seconds. Please dont let it break the 7 barrier.

The V6 is clocked between 6.6-7.1. This has been confirmed with all major magazines including Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and Road & Track to name a few. The I-4 has got to be a second or so slower. The I-4 and the V-6 cannot run the same times! The hp and torque are different by a substantial amount. Plus the weight is just about the same between the auto and manual format. The manual will save just a few pounds. BTW, that site is absolutely wrong. They were referring to the V-6.
