Just brought my 2004 Solara SE home this evening. First time Toyota owner here and so far I'm loving it. Mine is an Oceanic blue 2.4 with 56k. Had my mechanic check it over and it passed with flying colors....looking forward to many miles and years of pleasure.

Welcome, SoLarry. I see that you have an Olds as well.
My best car, before this one, was a 1966 Olds Ninety Eight;
I also owned a 1968 98, and a 1983 Cutlass Supreme. My
friends used to call me "Rocketman." Now, I'm just another
Solaraguy. Glad you have you here too. Jimmm

So....after having the 'lara for just over a week we had a meeting at work on Friday and were told that because of poor sales our plant is closing in mid-March and we'll all be out of a job. Merry Christmas!

Dang!! Alotta that is still going around but the Feds still say the recession is over. :roll: Stay positive and get the resume beefed up to beat the rush. My girlfriend was in that same situation when the bank she works at got seized by the FDIC a week after we closed on a new house. :o Luckily the bank that came and took over hired her, I'm hoping everything works out for you as well. Good luck!
