going from manual to automatic climate control

going from manual to automatic climate control

My 07 Sport has the regular nob type of AC control unit and I came across a automatic climate control unit (the one with buttons and LCD).

Can I do a direct swap of the control unit or is it not going to work...?

current one:

new one kinda looks like this:

i don't know about the gen 2/2.5's, but the gen 1/1.5 is NOT a direct swap. there are all sorts of secondary parts that will be needed to upgrade to an premium autoclimate system.

which parts exactly....? i'm not sure, i was lucky enough to have the premium hvac on mine when i got it.
