Just thought I'd ask but I have a 2004 solara and my registration is due on August 2010 I haven't smogged the car since I've bought it. I have a an injen intake and of course the intakes don't come with a carb sticker to pass visual inspection. So I was wondering do you think for this new registration that is due that I would have to get my car smogged for this year?

i think you might have to get smog
i think it was for a new car after 4 eyars then every 2 years after that
and recently they changed the law to 6 years for a new car and 2 years after that

Gonna be a pain in the ass to put that stock air box back in just to pass smog. Any tips on getting a C.A.R.B sticker?

I know some models do come with the stickers but it appears ours do not.

Per the injen website:
Part number IS2032
3.3L V6 VVT-i
2004-05 Toyota Solara, Camary
3.3 V6 VVT-i
04-05 Models will not be CARB exempt
and cannot be used on California hwys.

Might not hurt to send them an email and see if you could get your hands on a sticker anyways.

I just got a smog test a few weeks ago for my 04 solara with cp-e intake and trd exhaust. the guy tried like 6 times because he couldn't hold the rpm but it passed. prolly don't have to change the injen.
