help with changing plugs

im going to be changing out my plugs 2.4 dohc 06 solara se. help with how to get to them is it under the valve cover? how do you get it off if so do i just have boots under there? any help appretiated couldnt find it under search

The cover on the top of the motor that says "VVT-i 16 VALVE" is plastic and simply cosmetic. Remove the screws from it and take it off. The boots for the spark plugs are in the top of the actual valve cover, right down the center from left to right when looking into the engine bay. Then pull the boots and you'll be able to get to the plugs. Hope this helps.
