2004 Solara Dashboard Cracks

I have a 2004 Toyota Solara with about 112,000. I noticed a couple of months ago cracks appearing on the dashboard. The vehicle is very well taken care of, and windshield cover used to protect from the heat/sun. I searched google and found out this is a common problem with this year solara and several other toyota vehicles. Does anyone know if toyota have a TSB for this issue or an open investigation? No troubles here. 47k first run 2004 ragtop. Kept in a garage, and never cleaned the dash. I only dust it off. I think it got wiped down twice in it's life when I had it professionally detailed.
What's with that dude on the thread you linked. Claims he has a 2004 Solara and key doesn't open the door? Who the hell uses a key for the door on our car?

I am not sure if this was a common problem (dashboard cracking), but my car has several near where the headunit is and some above the glovebox. I noticed the cracks in late 2010.
I only used interior shine three times at most but I forgot which brand I used since it was so long ago.

Mine too --it looks like sum1 took a knife or razor blade and cut the dash-very strange prob maybe if they would have used better grade material

I just got a new cd deck put in Chyna and i just noticed the dashboard cracked...I musta damn near got the installer fired...

These cracks actually appear out of anywhere, I do not think it is only the 2004 Solara, because I m starting to notice a mysterious slice or two also.

Is there a dash mat or something out there to cover up these cracks? I see people driving around with what looks like carpet on their dashes.

mines an 04 and I don't have this problem on my dash. I also have never used any cleaners on my dash, just a damp rag
