Throttle lag due to slowly comming out of lean burn on decel

From what I gather there are/ were two types of lag, I am talking about the one described below:

My car (gen 2, v6, auto), like many here, suffers from throttle lag. It is particularly bad after rapidly slowing down to around 15 mph or so and then giving it some gas, say when coming out of a tight turn. During the ''lag''' I see my revs increase but there is no corresponding acceleration and then all of the sudden, BAM, acceleration, as if our cars have a clutch that suddenly grabbed. I THINK I know why this happens. I believe our cars go lean, or even shut off the injectors during deceleration for mpg and emissions sake. Once we get back on the gas the car simply takes to long to get the fuel pressure and injectors going again. This would explain the revving with no corresponding acceleration and the sudden lurch of power once the cylinders have proper amounts fuel. If I could find a shop to modify the cars lean burn parameters on decel then maybe I could fix this problem. Also this would explain why Toyota has no fix. They don't want to affect the MPG or emissions numbers.

Anyone know of a shop in Southern California that can modify the lean burn/ injector shut off parameters?

I think it has more to do with it being an automatic transmission. I believe all of them have some sort of hesistation going from decel to getting back on the gas

If anything the consensus seems to be that it is related to the electronic throttle as opposed to the automatic tranny. I have driven plenty of automatics that didn't have any significant lag. Also I don't understand the mechanics of the lag. Why the rev increase but no acceleration? Never heard anyone actually explain the cause of the lag.

oh, I didn't know it was drive by wire. I know some companies make a throttle controller (Blitz comes to mind) but they're application specific. I doubt you'll find anything for your car

You can't have BOTH a lean mixture and see increased revs during the lag. I don't know exactly the how and the why of our lag problem (Toyota has still kept this a corporate secret  ) but being that we can rev during the lag tells me it's more transmission-related than injector-related. Actually, I would go as far as to guess that it's more specifically related to the engine control module and the transmission. I do agree that the Toyota engineers purposely designed the lag for some type of emissions/mpg reasoning, I'd just wish they offered a way for the driver to turn it off like traction control.
