New 2004 and UP solara owners... what did you pay?

26K SLE V6 fully loaded

Postby bigpow » Fri Oct 03, 2003 1:22 am

I got mine just last Sunday.
Fully loaded SLE V6 (no navi), silver, 26K.
1.5% over invoice. It was even cheaper than www.carsdirect.com or www.edmunds.com price!

So happy... :)

I paid $26,378. SLE V6 fully loaded; even the Glass breakage sensor option. List price was $29,472. Invoice Price was $26,849. I think I got good deal for a brand new '04.

Well guys, im a newbie to this board, and i just ordered my car yesterday! Its a Lunar Mist SE Sport V6. The Toyota dealer where i got it from was asking $24,545. I also traded in my accord for it. Ill just make this short and simple, since my dad is good friends with the owner, after taxes i paid $17,625 or something like that. Ill post some pics when i get it!

LOL i dont understand what you're asking me. Are you asking me if i still owe money? (if so, i dont owe anything on either vehicle) But this is what happened...The solara had MSRP of $24,545, they took my accord as a trade in, and the final price i had to pay them was $17,625...the dealer only made something like $700 off of this sale. Him and my dad go WAY back and are good friends, and thats where my family buys all our cars.

SE-V6 sport. Paid 24. Perhaps too much but I towed my car into the lot and I needed a ride home. The dealer gave me what I wanted even though it wasn't running.

I just got the above car's options for a price of only $26,315. The dealer gave me a good deal on my 99 Solara for trade in - only a few hundred less than Edmund's stated trade in value. So I think I got a great deal overall. I was shocked that I was offered a price over $3000 under MSRP (less than invoice) on a brand-new model car. Now I have to decide on which color I want - red, white, or black. Very few SLE's with NAVs are coming in so I have some time to decide. My last two cars were black and white so I guess red is first choice so far.... so hard to decide!
