Almost since i bought my 06 Solara SE 2az, when i hit a bump on the forward left tire, there is a metallic clink sound that occurs. I have poked about underneath, lifted it up, kicked it repeatedly to see where the noise is coming from but i can't seem to find anything. It isn't the brakes, although i thought it was. I know there isn't much to go on but if anyone has had similar noises coming from their lara let me know what the issue was. I cant feel any difference in ride at all.

I would say check the torque on the main strut nut on top of the shock tower and maybe the other bolts connected to the strut also. Another guess would be to inspect the sway bar. "Clinking" sound is rare to me so sorry I can't be of more help, now if it was a "knocking" sound would say your strut is bad but you'd notice the change in steering on smooth roads way before you noticed the sound on rough roads.

I feel stupid, but it was the shock. I did a little reading and found that its the very distinct noise a bad shock makes. Thanks for the input though. Weirdly enough i didn't notice any steering changed but thats what it is.
