Switch for right rear courtesy light

Switch for right rear courtesy light

Postby ricksolara » Tue Sep 19, 2017 8:35 pm

Just got my second Solara softtop, so I'm glad to be reading and posting here with you guys (and gals. Are there any gals?)

The radio fades in and out. I've read here and elsewhere too that it's the switch in the right rear corner, and it has annoyed me for quite a while that there is no way to turn off the courtesy light back there, other than closing the doors. When I'm working/doing things with the car I'd like to leave one or both of them open. .

Am I right that no way is provided?

Because I'm thinking of installing a switch if there is no other way.

Hi Rick and welcome, it's been years since I've posted. Facebook has had a significant impact on solaraguy.com Hope this helps.

You can just disconnect it. I'm also facing some issues with my factory JBL head unit as the volume controls do not display on the head unit and there's no sound on my car. I'm in the process of ordering a JBL amp. I'm hoping that will resolve it.

My 2004 Solara was totaled a few years ago and I just recently picked up an 08 Solara convertible SLE silver. Not trying to do too much nowadays.
