Passenger Airbag Light

In the center console in middle of the dashboard with the 3 displays, is the Passenger Airbag Light supposed to be ON the whole time?

The words "Passenger Airbag" is always on. The word "on" underneath it is only on when a passenger is in the seat that weighs more than 75lbs. The word "off" is displayed underneath it only when a passenger is in the seat that weighs less than 75lbs.

The passenger airbag light "passenger airbag" remains on all the time so that both the passenger and driver can physical see this display both during the day and night while driving. The words "on" and "off" are displayed when certain criteria are met for the passenger side seat. This way if a mother or father places their child in the seat, and the child weighs less then 36kgs The passenger airbag telltale will display "off".
