A question about A.P.R.

Postby sackings2003 » Tue Oct 21, 2003 5:56 pm

Could you guys guess how much A.P.R. I'll have if I want to purchase a 04 Solara?? (I've finished finance a pre-owned 99 soloar 4 months before. and I don't have any bad credit record) I'm worry about my A.P.R. will be too high that I can afford a 04.

seeing as how we don't know you or your credit record , i dont think anyone could give you a answer to that...but im assuing since the solara is new the dealers might not want to give it to you witha low apr....less money for them...

Eloan.com has fantastic rates. I am 24, have pretty excellent credit. I was approved for $38,000.00 on a 6 year loan @ 5.19 % (which is awesome for a 6 year loan, especially since toyota is not doing ANY special financing for the solara yet, toyotas best deal on financing is the Corolla which is 5 years at 2.9 %)

... no questions asked. They didnt care what I was trading in or anything.

Simple process... and a very easy company to work with. It also makes the dealer transaction painless since you have a check in hand.

Toyota is giving loan rates down to 3.95% on new 2004 Solaras. I got that rate and you need great credit rating to get it. I'm surprised they didn't tell you about this rate.

I got the car almost a month ago. I of course would have rathered going through toyota finance, but oh well. I doubt I would get 3.95 for 6 years... maybe 5, but not 6. My credit score is around 750, so i dont think approval would have been a problem.

myfico.com has some great tips on improving your credit score.

My credit score was slightly less than that so you would have gotten it. But 3.95% at 5 yrs could maybe equal the rate you got at 6 yrs. I don't know the maximum number of years they were financing to.

when i purchased my solara back in 02 i finanaced my car for 3 yrs at 1.9%APR. which was a good deal. I think the lowest at this time toyota will ofer no lower then 3% APR rate. for the 04's but you may even get 0% APR for the 03 since they are trying to get rid of all of them. My sister just bought a 03 Civic and is financing for 0% APR for 4 yrs. she pays not interest at all..

I think they're giving 0% APR on '03 Camry's and 1.9% on 04's. Camry's get really good deals because Toyota will go to all lengths to have that car remain the number one selling car in the country. Their one year loss to the Accord stung them and they don't want a repeat.

They have 2.9% on a 5 year note for a certified lexus (used) by my place...was checking that out last weekend (on a 98 LS). The best deal on toyota is for Tundra...zero APR for 5 year note...what more can you ask for! (i heard some tacoma dudes are also getting 2.9 on a 5 year note).....

I just bought my Solara through Toyota for 2.9 APR for 5 years. They are running special rates on 04 Solaras during October. Good luck!!

That's odd. I specifically asked the finance guy if they had 1.9% or 2.9% on 04 Solaras and he told me that those rates were not available on that car. I was told the lowest possible was 3.9%. Can you tell me which dealership and where it was that gave you 2.9% on an 04 Solara? When did you buy your car?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
