#1 Overdrive is ALWAYS on =]

Your car is a 5 speed automatic... that means that the first 4 gears are for driving and 5th is for overdrive. Overdrive shifts the tranny sooner so you save my gas by using a higher gear and don't go to higher revs. If you turn O/D off, you will notice that you'll naturally rev higher than you did before.

#2 Keeping it on is better unless you need power to go up a hill (although ECT-i should auto-adjust the gear so you maintain power on uphills)

#3 It's ok to ask if you don't know =] But please use the "Search" function first... almost everything most people ask have been asked time and time again! =]

Same idea but only 3 gears are driving and 4th is OD... L 2 3 is for uphill climbs but the ECT-i adjust gears... the 4-banger Gen 2 feels so sluggish compared to the gen 1.5 4 banger =x
