hmmm wrong section and since you posting in this forum im assuiming you have an 04 solara....the old generation solara's were time consuming when removing the rear panels to change the rear deck, the door should be easy.

fac JBLs are pretty good

I dunno if you have the "premium" JBL sound system, but if you do, then you might want to rethink replacing those speakers. Those are not bad at all. I might end up replacing them in my car just because I'm a car audio fanatic, but if I do end up replacing them, I would get something like MBQuartz or the new Boston 6.5 Pro Series, you'd have to replace them with something high quality like that to get better then the JBL.
And if you end up replacing them with high quality components, then you better end up replacing the factory headunit, which is pretty hard to do right now as there is no Toyota dash kit yet (right?) for the 04's.

The guy that worked at Toyota said that the JBL doesn't really improve your sound system. They mainly just upgrade your headunit. Not really worth the extra 600 bux

I only have the standard radio...but i already changed the rear speakers. you have to remove the rear side panels in order to remove the rear dash, because the parts interlock with eachother. I replace the speakers with some Pioneers and it really does sound better.

As long as the 04 is the same, which I see no reason for it not to be... the fronts are 6.5" and the rears are 6x9.
