How do you figure tis car will handle in the snow? Anyone driven in snow yet? You would think Id have being in Cana-duh and all.

I owned a 2000 SLE and drove it through one Wisconsin winter. I never got stuck, never skidded into anyone or anything, and always made it to work on time. I had the stock tires (whatever they were). I wouldn't say it would get me through 12" of snow, but I thought it handled quite well. Of course there's no substitute for driving smart when the snow flies. But being from Canada I'm sure you are an experienced driver when it comes to snow.

We just got a dusting of snow in Wisconsin tonight but not enough to really tell how my 04 will handle. But if it's anything like my 2000, I'm not worried in the least.

If you really want snow performance, first thing I would do is get a set of studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta's. Stock tires offer poor snow traction. Tire Rack still has a couple of sets of Dunlop Winter Sport M3, which would be my second choice, but no where near the snow traction of the Nokians.

I wish the SE Sport came with the traction control, but I'll just be taking off a lot slower than with my 91 Corolla All-Trac.
