2004 Solara Weight Reduction

Postby Kelvin13 » Fri Nov 28, 2003 8:19 pm

As you all know, Toyota bodies are heavy in comparison to its competitors such as Nissan. This is why I want some of you to give me ideas for weight reduction on my '04 Solara. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanx :fadein:

Very informative.

I think it is one of the best articles on weight vs. performance gains.

haha why bother... for every 100lbs you remove, you go 0.1 second faster in the quarter mile.

that's clal weigh reduction -.-|||?

why don't they just transplante the whole engine/trans/tow wheels onto a sawed off garage door....

better yet why don't they just tie the driver on the engine and attach the wheel directly onthe engine...

weight reduction to this point is really pointless....

do what that article did. :lol: if you got a toyota (2nd gen solara) for race ideas or something of that nature, you bought the wrong car. our cars are too high up the luxury line to get nitty gritty weight reduction.

Think of it this way,

You can be the first Gen 2 convertable... even before Toyota has it =P
