Which tires???

I'm finally ready to order some 225/45-18's to mount on my Lexani's. I have a bunch to choose from, I hope you guys can help me out as this is my first time buying performance tires. Here are my options from tirerack (which I found to be probably the cheapest place):

Bridgestone Potenza S0-3 Pole Position - $199
Michelin Pilot Sport - $205
Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico - $195
Continental ContiSportContact - $139
Yokohama AVS ES100 - $157

I know many of you will say go with the Pilot Sports, but i'm leaning toward the Yokos because they are the most realistically priced. Any suggestions would be great.

go for the pole positions.

if yoko, then get AVS sport

225/45 comes a lot closer to matching the diameter of a 215/55-17 and AVS Sport doesn't come in 225/45-18.

I like my Kumhos and they competitively priced. Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 is available in 225/40/ZR18 for $117, that is if you change your mind from 45 to 40. I have heard good things though about the Yoko AVS.

I'm seriously considering lowering with the Eibach Pro-kit fitted for the '04. I'm just not sure yet because I have a very steep driveway and I don't know if I will scrape until the snow melts. If I do decide to lower, though, I don't think i'll be buying the TRD springs. I've heard good things about the Eibachs and, for half the price, I think the Eibachs are the wise choice for springs.

I just bought a new set of wheels and tires from Sander at The Wheel Supply. I bought the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSDS. It's a new tire supposed to have very good traction. I haven't put them on yet so it's too soon for me to comment but it came with a good recommendation. I think the 225x40x18 was $169. -JoeB

/edit - Not that it should matter but this is on a Gen-1 Solara.
