Supercharger Rebuild

Hello All,

FYI - I just spoke with David at Magnusson about rebuilding my SC. Dave indicated they could have it done in 3 or 4 business days. I also asked about any aftermarket upgrades to enhance the SC performance limits and improve on its reliability. Unfortunately, there are NO upgrades available. I was hoping for an after market gear set and maybe high performance bearings that would allow for running a smaller pulley. Humm maybe next time.

Their number is 805-642-8833 and Dave's ext is 261.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to put in the Lucas oil stabilizer in the S/C

You are rebuilding already? It seems that you don't drive your car too much. The only maintenance I have heard is to re-oil after 100,000 miles. My S/C is on about 85,000 miles now.

I was hoping that they would say that they have that intercooler for this type of S/C. I guess it is rare though.

He is running 13 psi when the S/C stock is 4 psi. . . that is a big difference

I think what killed it was the 15 PSI I ran for awhile. As far as cost to rebuild I've got no idea. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

Well atleast we know now the TRD S/C can't stand 15 psi. . . man too bad you really can't build this s/c to be stronger. . . hmm. . . you think it might be possible to ask Magnusson to Cryo Treat the parts because it can make it 4 times stronger and this website does a lot of cryo treating for various parts and it seems to be pretty reasonable pricing http://www.metal-wear.com/racing.htm . . . Just a suggestion that can make the gears stronger and nose drive stronger
