Boost Port?

Hey guys i tried searching but came up empty. So last nite i removed the strut bar and removed the allen screw to the boost port. after removing the screw i noticed oil on the bottom of it and some around the threads inside the port. I haven't looked inside the hold yet as it was pretty kinda dark last nite and hard to see in.

First question is has anybody else had this happen?

Second question, where is the oil coming from? It is a darker oily substance and smells like oil, so i'm not sure whatelse it is.

it probably is oil

remember that your pcv valve is connected to your supercharger, and the same for the hose from the front valve cover to your intake hose

it is normal to get some oil as long as it's not excessive blow-by

That makes me feel a lot better. I'll be installing the boost gauge soon hopefully.

Just keep an eye and ear on your s/c and you should be fine. In my case, I think some of the oil from the nose was leaking into the rotor housing b/c my bearings were shot.

Next time you change your oil, pull the rotors out and wipe them down.

you could also consider installing a catch can. I had planned to install one because I noticed a similar thing when I pulled my supercharger to install my injectors. Just something to consider
