Reverse scoop = hot air exit.

You still have no air added, let alone cold air.

hot air exit = cool air enter.

if hot air is leaving the engine bay...it must be replaced by somthing. it just wont be commin in at the vents or what ever is used.

hot air exit = cool air enter.

That's called a "non sequitur".

^^ you guys are right,

but for the purpouse, which was to cool your engine/SC, the scoop is much more efficient than the vents/reverse scoop

I am pretty sure a hood scoop WILL cool the bay temperatures, which would be a very good thing!

Actually, the reverse scoop over the SC may be the way to go. There is HIGH pressure near the windshield which will be directed right down into the SC (*cowl scoop*). May seem counter intuitive, but true....that's why they have 'em.
The forward facing scoop, as someone pointed out here, may not be as efficient due to stagnant air at the *boundry* over the hood.....you don't get ram air unless the height of the hood is HIGH enough....or right UP FRONT near the grill. In addition, the reverse scoop is aerodynamic...forward scoop is ANTI aerodynamic unless submerged.
If I go with a scoop it will probably be reverse type.
