^^lol

what about in front of the gear shifter?

on top of the steering column or if you have a single din radio you get one of those single din gauge pods.

actually, yeah...you can put it in that little flat holder spot in front of the shifter where there's a piece of carpet

I'm planning on installing my sis' tranny temp gauge there since she doesn't want the car to be more flashy than it already is

thats what i planned on, maybe actually cutting into it, and mounting the gauges with some angle rings, or fiber glassing it cuz it looks too small for mounting cups....or one of those metal panels from autometer and cutting it to fit

Originally, I had planned to do a single DIN radio and put the gauges there, but from all the examples I saw the gauges were just a bit larger than the din area, so you'd have to cut into the console.

I too decided to mount 2 gauges with angle rings in the shifter trim, but haven't got around to it.

or you could mount them on either side of the gauge cluster, like the wrx/sti's....

I have this same dilemma, except I have a Camry where the slope of the dash above the speedometer is less steep than on the Solara. Have you thought about the single gauge cups where you can pretty much place anywhere?

i had a triple on the dash and 2 on the a pillar for a couple weeks. Then I had 3 on the dash and one on the steering column. It blocks the fuel gauge a little, but you usually know how much gas you have anyway and can see if if you crane your head a little.

You guys could get a 1 DIn kit that could house 3 gages. but you would have to drop that 2din factory radio.
