Had a set of Idler plates made for the SC.......

Paid $200 cash to have the set made. The following pics are of them. Got them in the mail today. I'm curious to hear opinions.

looks nice, the counter sunk screws look like they will mash in there, a little crude, but if it works, no need to complain IMO.... now, what if we could mate a m65 SC to an intake manifold.... lol

65? the one for our cars is a 62...

btw adam, if the guy doesnt give u ur money back....im pretty sure a dremel would even out those groves and allow for a flush install....i mean IF he doesnt give u ur money back.

He should. The guy who owns the show is good, but it was the worker that screwed it up. My friend has had work done there before and said it was top notch. I was just unluckey in this instance I guess.

Now if you made that in your garage with some scrap material and dull tools? sure. But you shouldn't have to pay that much money for that kind of workmanship.

I'd be pissed if I paid $60 for that junk.

Edit: Screw the Dremel: use the proper countersink for those machine screws, or more appropriately send the plates back.

Based on both engine size and expected power, the M90 is preferred. Original equipment on the Ford 3.8 and GM 3.8, but those are both pushrod engines.

not a question of if it can fit, question is, who's gonna make the new hood? cause that thing wont fit under the OEM hood

Luckily, the M90 has the same diameter rotors as the M45 & M62 - the case is just longer. Much of the extra bulk you see on an M90 is due to what it's made for - the most common ones have big flanges for the GM 3.8 V6 which can be trimmed or even removed. The extra nose length can be removed by cutting down the shaft and housing. The Ford is probably the easiest to adapt because it has removable ducting that connects to the engine and TB, which can be cut up, re-positioned, etc. to adapt to another manifold. It's still a lot of work.
