Great numbers. I was wondering what the octane of the gas you start with is.

octane

i added 1 gallon of 117 octane gas to 2 gallons of 93 octane gas to do the dyno runs.

What do you use for everyday driving?

How many pounds of boost are you running? You might benefit from water injection, it'll save you from having to buy expensive gas.

i use xylene which is a unleaded additive 117 octane. i use it all the time, yeah its expensive but safe insurance. I dynoed with the 7psi pulley. my first run ws so rich, 8:1 air fuel we ended up leaning it out to 10.5;1 for right now although i may lean it out a little more later on down the road

have you done a compression test? I was just wondering how your engine was holding up since you have over 100k miles.

Those are some BIG numbers! I am impressed.

Yeah as I4 said ... a compression ratio readout might be informative ...

Thanks,

Alex

A compressrion test and compression ratio are two diffrent things ;)

Yes ... I meant a "compression test" ... I was doing 100 things at once ... sorry

Although I would have thought your compression ratio would be related to the numbers coming from a compression test ...

yeah i might get the compression test just for the hell of it although i am pretty sure i am gonna get low numbers, i mean this motor has been pounded on since day 1 :D , nitrous, supercharger, etc. Definitely gonna go with a sick rebuild pretty soon.

Gabe, your car/engine is certainly the anomaly. The 1/4 mile times verify higher power levels but there are many people that have done just as much and more than your car and don't have any where near that power. I don't doubt you at all, I am just baffled why your car puts out so much power with so little mods. I think your cylinder compression must be pretty high to make those numbers. Have you ever wondered why your car has so much more power than others with similar or more mods? -JoeB

I agree Joe, my car must be a factory freak! When first bought the car in early 2000 and put JUST a cold air intake and greddy exhaust on it, it ran 14.8 at 93mph right off the bat, thats what most s/c'd auto guys run. So i knew the car was faster tham it should be.
