Stock pump....

*note* this post has been edited to read *261WHP* instead of the originally stated *276*. Sorry for any confusion here

I dynoed many moons ago with the 5.5lb (261WHP) and had Apexi unit on board. It was running RICH above 5K RPM and we dialed BACK fuel a tad in that range. BTW..blew a sensor on that run :D . So.....I'm not convinced that a bigger capacity pump is the ticket here (at 5.5lb). Same with injectors. Now that I have relocated my sensor, I'm DONE BABY! :drinking:

276 whp is very high for just 5.5psi...even when I had mine dialed in perfectly, with supra tt maf, 330 cc injectors, walbro, jims fuel mod, etc, I maxed out at 261whp. What other mods do you have?

Must be your fuel? Even on 91-92 I blew knock sensors. Switched to 93 octane (only 1 station in town that sells it) and havent had any problems. I know Frank and some guys out west are making their own octane booster and looks like they have had pretty good success. After talking with Gabe, the higher octane fuel really makes a difference (hp and knock) on these boosted solaras.
99 DWP SEV6 5spd 6.5psi+Meth, Tein+Tokico, EricSol+Brembos+EBC, OBX Headers+OBX 3" Exhaust, Supra MAF & 330cc, Spec 2+, Fidanza, TRD lip kit, Injen+Ext, Optima Red, Infinity 60.5+693.7i, 2 Kappa Perfect 12 VQ's+iPod+JVC DVD...etc

I was using a MIX of 100 and 91 for a blend of 93 (5gal of 100 in each tank) and the sensor still blew! BTW, doing some *research* here I have found others who blew sensors using Jim's mod as well ( including FRONT sensor bank 2!) and I had installed it recently when I replaced my STOCK sensors. I'm now convinced the GM sensor fix..or the one I have on now (Greg's relocation kit) is the ONLY way to go with the SC..even at stock boost.

As far as HP..yes I had other mods at the time...primarily a custom Y pipe with the Greddy Catback. The Y pipe REALLY let the 5.5 pulley do it's thing.
