Dats Boost pulley question and gauges?

After I bypassed the EBC by re-doing the hoses straight to the actuator, I can hit 4psi and sometimes it spikes to 4.5 easily.

Read up on Astro's problem about the actuator staying partially open at WOT. I believe he said something about getting only 85% boost.

See thats the thing. You have 3.2.. I have 3.4 pulley.. I think thats only 3psi boost. I got rig by my seller.. :(

actually a long time ago, there was a discussion about this. I believe that when the supercharger first came out, it was setup with the 3.4inch pully. During that time, there was no automatic tensioner and various other differences as well as leaking of oil etc. TRD suddenly introduced the EBC in addition to the new hosing setup in order for the EBC to work. During that change they also upped the boost a little bit by using a 3.2inch pully, maybe to add a little more top end kick since it is now being held back most of the time by the EBC. There were even some pullys out there that are 3.4inch but machined down to 3.2 by TRD and never renamed.

Do a search for a thread called "more boost update". That might have what I was talking about. The earlier s/c kits never came with the TRD strutbar and came configured bypassing the EBC because there was none avalible at the time.

A story that I remember was that a friends supercharger of mine started making sounds, so he called up TRD and claimed warrenty. They asked him for some numbers possibly from the papers or s/c itself. He said that they acted as if they were expecting that call and agreed to replace the s/c unit for free.
