Yes... premium and 2 bottles of octane boost just to try to get the missin away... I figured it out though finally.. One of my brand new coil pack is bad... not giving enough spark to whatever rear cylinder i hook it up too... God damn you ebay... Anyways slapped back on my old stock toyota coil back.. and runs great now. gay crap.

Ok other then after fixing all the missing and everything my plastic impeller on the water pump broke off so car gave me one more headache... whatever... 145k miles runs like mint... So I slapped on a new timing belt and water pump, car wont overheat anymore, got a metal impeller lol but ya only problem I have now is the notorious knock sensors.... I get BOTH 0325 and 0330 codes pretty quick... maybe no more then 4-5 minutes after clearing them.. I just drive with my scanner on and the erase button ready... I bought 2 ATS knock sensor kits so should this really fix my problem? Did I really blow my 2 knockys already after putting on the supercharger... Amazing how check engine lights on and your in limp mode... and I hit clear right as a mash the throttle what a difference the timing make from like only 5 degrees to 30 degrees... sucks I want the car to run great so should the ATS fix my issue?

Thanks again for everything guys.

yes...yes they should.

or you can relocate them as long as you're sure that the car isn't actually knocking.

Does the ECM need to read some sort of knock, because for just trying. I hooked up the new ATS GM knock sensor straight to the ecu behind the glove box (and grounded it ofcourse), yes it will still throw me a code for it. Does it mean the ECM has to get some sort of signal from the knock sensor to not throw the code? I just want to make sure when I do take off my intake manifold AGAIN that this will fix my problem and be the last time.. I hate my timing being retarded, makes the car slow as balls.

^ Yeah, it HAS to read some sort of knock. I tried putting one I know was good in the car, and would still always set the CEL.

yup...it needs a variable signal from the sensor

lol...otherwise a lot of us probably would have just cut the wire a long time ago and left it at that...

Alright very cool guys... thank you all for the info... One more question which i feel why my knock sensor CEL is coming on faster... If I hit 5000rpm it really sounds like the belt start slipping.. loud screatching almost like a compressor ceasing up...I dunno if the supercharger is starting to slip around the belt then.. I dunno anyone ever have any rough running and CEL's due to just a belt being a little loose and taking a load at 5k? Im just tryin to figure out all my possibilites.. Becasue When I did the 1 wire mod.. making knock 2 read off sensor 1 at the ecu... Car ran GREAT.. strong.... Then water pump(god damn u plastic impellers... only jap one to go I have seen of course my car... ive changed dozens on older bmw's because the fins would ALWAYS break off.. Dont understand why car companies have to be so cheap.) broke so I did timing belt too... I know I everything was lined up because the car does run great when its not retarding the retarded timing... So hopefully this weekend or so ill just slap on the 2 ATS sensors I bought.. I just splice the wire into the existing signal wire coming off the knock sensor right?
Thanks again guys...

Also is there any special way to install the knock sensor? Should I do adapter first, tighten that down then the GM sensor on top, or should i tighen the two together first and slap it in as one.. Im sure it wont matter.. Is there any direction these knock sensors need to face either? I only ask because I know some specific cars if you dont have it the exact spec direction (where the wires are facing basically) It will kick on a code... I really rather not have ot lift the supercharger any more after this so does anyone have any ideas of what else I should change.. of course the gaskets.. Also is water running through the lower plenum? Must I drain the block? Not 100% sure... Thanks guys.

You guys can really guarentee me these knock sensors will not retard my timing as much as the toyota's right, and not kick on a CEL for them... Again Ive only had this motor for 2 months.. I dunno much about it at all.. But feels great boosted ;) Still aint as fast as my turbo nissan :P but I want this for my daily driver. No need to get whip lash every day driving the nissan lol.

you can do whatever with the ats sensors for installation

and yes, you have to drain your block first before taking off the intake manifold

it's also a good idea to replace the coolant bypass hose that runs between the block as well, and you pretty much have to replace your intake manifold gaskets because the seals on the coolant passes will tear up when you take the manifold off

otherthan that...good luck.

not too sure if the gm sensors will keep the car from retarding timing altogether, or just make it better, but I haven't done much research on them either. all that was figured out though, was that the gm sensors aren't guaranteed to save your engine though, if it actually knocks, as it listens for different frequencies than the toyota sensors

^ You have to get it at the dealer as it;s suck a specific hose. Plus it's only like $15.

Ok guys, what do you all think I should do.. I bought a supercharger off the forum from blksolara... The supercharger is DEFINETLY ceasing up after 5000rpm and doesnt have much power before either... Sounds very bad.. I was told he was the second owner and only had 60k miles on it and the oil was changed right before I got it.. Should I file something with paypal considering I basically gave him $3000, where should I go from here... Bein a mechanic too how hard is it to rebuild one of these units... Im so pist.. I put the ATS GM sensors, NO more CEL but still no power, bad timing and the SC is deffinetly ceasing up... Please help me guys.

this may have nothing to do with your issue but i thought i'd jus throw it out there. you mentioned something bout the belt sounding like it was slipping. are you sure that it isn't? i know some people have had issues with it slipping due to different things (incorrect size, worn belt, pulley, belt tension, etc).

either way, good luck

What do you mean ceasing up? If the bearings started going, you'd know hear it. Plus, I wouldn't think it would be limited to a certain rpm range.

It's definitely possible for the bearings to start going at that mileage if the oil wasn't maintained properly. That is the problem of having to buy used/discontinued parts. Even when my s/c started giving me problems, it still made full boost.
