Wow just got back from the dyno for the first time ever. I am happy with the results considering i havent done the headers or heads yet. Something was wrong with the vacuum hoses and the boost actuator was not working right. We got it settled and i picked up 70tq at 3000rpms, apparently i had installed the vacuum hoses wrong when i put the charger on. :o

I will upload the graph a little later.

what do you guys think?

:-? Wow I must say that's suspect without any internal work being done. I don't think it's possible!! :-?

Sounds good man. Your using a Fields vs. a SAFC for fuel control ??

Numbers are on target for a manual tranny. Same ballpark at Ericsol and others w/ similar set ups. Especially in that crisp cold New England air! I turned 238 whp in 90 degree heat. Another 38 whp with the additiaonal mods is reasonable. That torque is pretty fay too. Only guy I can think of still pushing 7 psi on stock internals.

Any of your 1/4 mile tracks still open ?? I'd love to see your new times.

Keep it up Gabe... I'll be copying er uh... I mean watching as your set up evolves.

Congratulations on the results.

Did you use the intake air/fuel cooler system during the runs?

Hope that 7psi isn't too much for the internals...

cryo2

Postby trd4life » Thu Dec 23, 2004 5:16 am

yeah i did use the DEI cryo2 setup during the last run and it kmade no difference :( i think the motor may have been heat soaked anyway.

i am still running the cat on my car and am tuned to 10.5:1 air fuel , the tuner told me take off the cat, he will tune to 12.0:1 and i will pick up another 10whp. :o

Gabe, very impressive numbers! Not surprising as fast as your car is! Have you ever had it on a Dyno Jet dyno? I'm curious how it would compare. Different dynos always read differently. Did that one correct for temp, altitude, humidity, weight etc.? Also, out of curiousity, where was your car manufactured? Any chance yours was manufactured in Japan like Doug's? -JoeB

Gabe,
I don't understand what you are saying about the cat. Please explain.

Postby trd4life » Thu Dec 23, 2004 12:40 pm

Fletch, i mean i am still running a catalayic converter, i am going ot take it off and put on a test pipe.

JoeB. i assume the dyno they used does correct for all of those factors. My car is not a JDM version like Doug's
