Blown head gasket! Time for a rebuild

Blown head gasket! Time for a rebuild

Postby trd4life » Sat Jan 22, 2005 9:12 am

Well as most of you know i have pounded on my car for years now using nitrous and then a TRD supercharger at 7psi on stock internals. At 111,000 she finally let go. I went to check my oil this morning and it was creamy foamy looking. I assume its a head gasket. Time for a rebuild. Can you guys point me in the right direction on where to order pistons, rods, and head studs. thanks

Well it would be kind of far but I would strongly recommend Arrieta Motor Sports as Greg mentioned. Even if they are too far away and you want a local place to do the work, I would at least give them a call and see if they can help you out with the parts needed. Everyone knows ARP is the KING for head studs. You probably also know from previous posts that ARP does not make a set for our engine. I think Arrieta Motor Sports can help you out there too. -JoeB

13.5 @ 107 is VERY quick and the dyno numbers arent too shabby either  . Top effort considering the 111k miles. Many would have risked it to get those times/numbers (particularly the 107mph).

I guess with a rebuild it can only go better :o

I agree. I would risk it to get :o 13.5s anyday! Especially in Hawaii. Knowing this . . . hmmmmmm I jus might skip the show part and go right on ahead to the charger. :drinking: Good luck on the rebuild buddy! Shootz den.
