i wanna turbo/super charge my 4 banger solara, but its automatic. :( any suggestions?

Well, I'm just going to take a guess and say I don't think you have the same transmission that comes with the V6. I saw a shop manual once and it had 2 numbers listed for the transmissions. I think they were A541 and A141 or something like that. My guess is that the 4 cylinder gets a weaker tranny. If nothing else, I would START by calling the very knowledgeable folks at IPT http://www.importperformancetrans.com/. I'm positive whatever is required or recommended, they can help you. They did the work on Tony the Tiger's tranny that is running a 1MZ-FE and VERY BIG turbo ~600whp (estimated). -JoeB
