I was gonna keep this a secret from you guys until i finished, but i wont be like that :) So....i picked up a 28x5.5x2.5 front mount intercooler, a used bosch blow off valve (i think its a stock 1.8t unit), bought jims fuel mod from killa cam. My Holset H1C snail (old school!!) should be here tomorrow...well it should have been here today but all this snow got dumped on us last night. It needs a rebuild....that kit should be here..tomorrow or thursday, i'll rebuild it saturday if it gets here in time and send off the parts to get balanced. I'll be using a 38mm tial to keep it in check. I doubt the 2jz injectors i have are gonna be enough, so i'll be looking into some rc injectors, or some 88 non turbo rx7 460cc's since i read they're supposed to work over on TN. Tuning will be handled by an AEM FIC, that i bought. It shipped today, i just need to call up AEM and get the flying lead since the guy i bought it from had a PnP harness for a scion tc. I'm also gonna pick up an extension harness ( JEGS http://www.jegs.com/i/AEM/017/30-2989/10002/-1# Midias, care to add that to the aftermarket parts list?)) so i won't have to cut into the factory wiring harness. Some VDO gauges (boost and oil pressure) are on the way. So far total spent, not including shipping, 754. Yes folks, thats turbo, intercooler, engine management and some more :P

yes i'm gonna clean it up before i put it on

it's got a rather large turbine housing, but i seen it spool on a low
compression KA24DE...it should work nicely on the 1mz 8)

More, updated pix to come when the parts get here

Take a close look at the hoses on the fuel mod for cracks, mainly around the fittings. If there are cracks there it needs to be replaced. I have spare hose I can sell from making the new fuel mods.

And my TRD SC needs a mate, I need a snail for it too. lol

a little dry rotted, but nothing too deep. I can probably get someone at another shop to make some new lines for me, for a case of beer

Mmm...twin charged Solara sounds like fun

Can't do that, you have to use the same hose, as it is specially made for those fittings. I talked to a performance shop that works with it.

actually that pod was from the cavalier i had. It doesn't exactly fit (small gap), but with a heat gun and some persuasion it'll fit better

lots of wires...not fun

OVERVIEW

The F/IC gives users with OBD-II race vehicles and non-factory forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns. 21x17 maps with configurable load and RPM breakpoints are easily accessed with the F/IC's Windows-based tuning software. The F/IC draws power from PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes.

PRECISE FUEL DELIVERY

The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is the only piggy-back system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors* while still maintaining proper air / fuel ratios. This powerful system can also tap into the factory injector signal and work independently to drive up to six (6) additional injectors.

TIMING RETARD CONTROL

The F/IC has the ability to retard timing by intercepting and delaying the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine- with no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing. The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM and load inputs.

SENSOR CALIBRATION & CONTROL

The F/IC can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF sensor, eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory MAFs. The on-board MAP sensor allows for proper fueling in boosted conditions.

CAN-BUS SYSTEMS NOT AFFECTED

Since the F/IC works in conjunction with the factory ECU, late model-vehicles equipped with a CAN-BUS system retain functionality of climate controls, dash and other components on the network.
