I got most of the expensive parts already except for the wastegate, and wideband o2 (about 450 for both) and little parts here and there. So far I've spent 1300...... it should be slightly cheaper than installing the SC when i'm done

hmmmm u know what man ive always wanted to go turbo, and always thought that the turbo set up would be more expensive, but if you say you will end up spending less than the s/c set up then i might as well go this route.
Good luck man and thank you for changing my mind :)

ok, i know i need to show some REAL progress and keep putting sh*t off....I'm still collecting parts, but i found another H1C for sale, in better shape than mine. No shaft play, the turbine and compressor blades look much better. The compressor housing looks slightly larger...or maybe it's my not so sober eyes?

newer on the left, older on the right

Image

But anyways, the one i just got (one the right) has a slightly different turbine wheel. I'm wondering if it's off an HX35.

Image

Whatever its from, it's going on first, and i'll rebuild the one i have that's been giving me problems, and while i'm at it....try to find an HX35 turbine housing.

Also, i got a filter for my diverter/ soon to be new life as a blow off valve. From the info i got, it leaks under vacuum or something like that. The only options are to recirculate it, or add a filter...it cost 10 bux so i went that way.

Image

Any finally i got to work on the battery relocation kit. I need to cut new/more threads into the battery hold downs. The aren't long enough for Optima's. You can't tell from the pix, but they tray isn't just sitting there, it's held down. It's pretty dam close to not working, but it does

Image

I'm going to get a few distribution blocks and i have some left over 8 gauge wire so I can finish this.

For the cables - I went 0 gauge. If you buy them from Knukonceptz on eBay the price isn't too bad and the cables are great quality.

If you have any questions about the relocating, let me know.

Can you explain this more...? I dont want to buy an ebay special bov, i dont want to pay a ton for something like the ssqv, but this seems pretty intersting.
