Boost Gauge info needed

Boost Gauge info needed

Postby RON » Sun May 10, 2009 10:01 pm

I want to install one. Would like to get a gauge that has boost reading MAX @ 20lbs (10 is ideal)...also a POD that would fit a Gen 4 Camry Pillar (prob same a Solara?). Is there a tutorial on install here? Can't find a CURRENT one..just dead links. Basically want fitting sizes for boost port and lines and how/where to run a line through the fire wall.

Thanks

RON

I've bought one from them ^^^ and on that ebay listing it also said that it goes to 15psi. But when i got it, I found out that it only goes to 10psi :) which is perfect for our s/c's.

I used a sunpro boost gauge. (although im not s/c yet lofl). It was 29.99 at autozone, I also bought that tubing kit linked earlier, because it didnt come with enough to run through the firewall. Once everything was ran through the firewall, i hooked it directly to the throttle body using an adapter i got at a hardware store. Works great, and for now, or at least until im boosted, it helps me measure and control my fuel econmy. Plus it just looks sweet :)

because i will be going turbo later, i bought an autometer c2 boost gauge. It reads boost up to 30psi...

Regardless, its still quite easy to tell what im boosting cause of the indication marks.

I put it in a glow shift swivel pod, which i will have mine up for sale soon.

same one i have, with super white led's in it. You'll pay a little more, but your needle will do a lot more moving than those big 20 psi gauges. :)

Since most of the respondents here have boost gauges, can anybody tell me how they hooked up their gauges? I recently bought one from Glowshift and they included a T adapter to tap into the vacuum lines but I want to use the actual port on top of the TRD S/C. Please let me know the thread size and brass fitting that will fit there. Thanks.
