Okay, I'm f*cked. i stripped the alternator pivot bolt trying to remove it. is there any way to remove it besides this way:

Try to use a torx bit instead of an allen, that saved my ass a couple weeks ago

i used an air chisel. damaged the idler plate a little, but it was still usable.

I had to cut through the spacer with a sawzall/multimaster. Once I was able to relieve the pressure the bolt created, it spun right out.
Ruined a $30 blade doing it.
I tried, but couldn't pound a torx bit into mine. It's worth a try.

yeah, I was thinking i might have to cut through the spacer, but only as a last resort.

I tried using an extractor set but there's SO LITTLE room to even get a drill in that space!

a torx is what I was regularly using to install/remove that bolt, but i'm afraid that's what eventually stripped it. i used a hex drive this time, and of course, stripped that son'bisch....
