:D

If all goes as planned, I'm getting the SC dynoed Monday at Church Automotive....the same place Frank and Bob went to, so we'll have some nice comparisons now. My car doesn't have the fuel/exhuast mods/ boost that they have. I have a STOCK fuel system (only Jim's mod) with a 5.5 boost...Y pipe and Greddy Cat back with a Cat in place. No headers. It's a 5 speed as well. Stay tuned.

Ron your one of the lucky guys that got your hands one of the super rare Cattman y pipes right? I believe there were only roughly 6 of those pipes made for our platform. That company makes a REALLY nice y pipe, the 3.0 maxima guys get around 18whp N.A with the same Cattman designed pipe

I look forward to seeing your results! My goal is to achieve 300whp on the stock TRD S/C at 7 psi before i slap the custom M90 unit on. I am installing a set of the 3mz exhaust cams in a couple days on a internally stock 1mz engine with a 6psi TRD setup w/ methanol. I'll keep you updated on this as i suspect the hotter 3mz exhaust cams will net us some nice gains and could be a really cost effective upgrade

I was the Second Y pipe that Cattman made. It was a work of art. However, I had to remove the free flow cat some time ago when I failed smog. It's a 2.5" system...high quality SS. It made a HUGE difference with the 5.5lb pulley. You can't benefit from that upgrade without a Y pipe added.

DYNO RESULTS

Postby RON » Mon Sep 14, 2009 9:09 pm

260LBs Torque (@4200rpm) and 258HP (@6000RPM). CHURCH said if I had completed the run to 6400RPM I would have hit around 275-280HP. I don't know what RPM Frank and Bob ran to on their runs. They got 272HP and 285 HP repspectively. Can't reascall torque either. I'll check and post here.

We enriched the fuel from AF 14 to AF 13 and gained 11 Ft lbs :D . He used my Apexi to do that in about 5 seconds...no charge!

TORQUE and HP: Red is before enrichment Green after
Image

Torque and AF before and after enrichment. Kept under 13 between 4700 and 6000RPM after. Note: A/F readings are in the TAIL PIPE and are .7-1.0 HIGHER than a PRE-CAT WIDE BAND reading.

Image

This is HP to the HUBS, which around 15-20 HP LESS than to the Flywheel and MORE than 5-10 HP than a DYNOJET would read.

Here's Franks run...he ran to 6300RPM (I ran to 6000) and had around 275HP at 6000 for comparision. His torque was 270FT lbs vs my 260 Ft Lbs. Not bad on my part, since I'm running less boost..no fuel mods..no headers.

Here's BBQ Bob's run. He had 272 HP @ 6300 RPM. For comparision with mine, he had 260 HP @ 6000RPM. His torque was 253 Ft lbs.

well ron it looks like your about 27 hp shy of my car, and about 14 hp less than bbq bob's which is an auto, i think you need to change your cardomain hp #'s from 307 to 258hp, although respectable #'s, why didnt they run it all out, you cant compare your #'s to either bobs or mine until you run it all out......................... :drinking:
